Craig Berube: From the Ice to the Bench

Early Life and Career

Craig Berube was born on December 17, 1965, in Calahoo, Alberta, Canada. Standing at 6'1" (185cm) and weighing 205 pounds (95kg), he began his professional ice hockey career as a player.

Playing Days

Berube played for several teams in the National Hockey League (NHL), including the Philadelphia Flyers, Hartford Whalers, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Calgary Flames. He was known for his physical style of play and won the Stanley Cup with the Flyers in 1987.

Transition to Coaching

After retiring as a player, Berube transitioned to coaching. He served as an assistant coach for the Philadelphia Phantoms before becoming the head coach of the Flyers in 2013. He has also coached the St. Louis Blues, leading them to their first Stanley Cup victory in 2019.
